Global solar investment broke record to reach US$239 billion in H1 2023

Global solar investment in the first half of 2023 increased by 43% year-on-year to reach US$239 billion, but renewable energy investment is still far below the amount needed to achieve the net zero goal in 2050.

According to Bloomberg New Energy Finance's "Renewable Energy Investment Tracker Report for the Second Half of 2023", the total investment in large and small solar systems reached 239 billion US dollars, accounting for two-thirds of the total global renewable energy investment in the first half of the year.
