The private airport operator Vinci Airports has sold 90.1% of its stake in Stockholm Skavsta airport, the Swedish capital's second airport in terms of size. The buyer is the Swedish real estate group Arlandastad Group. At the same time, the two players signed an agreement for the development of a photovoltaic power plant on the airport site. SunMind, a subsidiary of Vinci Concessions, will be responsible for the design, financing, construction and maintenance of the solar farm. Arlandastad Group is implementing a vast project to develop 484 hectares of land, in partnership with the municipality of Nyköping, where Skavsta airport is located. The Local Urban Plan paving the way for the development of a logistics zone and a large-scale business park has already been initiated.

Part of this area will therefore be occupied by the photovoltaic power plant with an area of 100 hectares. With a power of nearly 100 MWp, it will be, according to Arlandastad, one of the largest in the country. Connected to the public electricity grid, it will help supply the municipality of Nyköping with energy.
